Edward A. Turzanski is a Professor of Political Science and History at La Salle University, and a Senior Scholar with the American Institute for History Education.  He is also the Templeton Fellow and Co-Chair of the Center for the Study of Terrorism at the Foreign Policy Research Institute.  He served with the U.S. Intelligence Community in postings throughout the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe during the Reagan Administration; and he was a member of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Anti-Terror Advisory Committee during the George W. Bush Administration. Since 9-11, he has regularly offered commentary on national security, political, intelligence and terror-related issues on more than four-dozen media outlets.  In 2011, he was named the first Scholar-in-Residence for the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, and is a panelist on Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI TV 6’s “Inside Story.” In addition to his academic and media work, serves as Counsel to the President of La Salle University, President of the Board of Directors of the National Aerospace Training and Research Center Educational Foundation, a Member of the Aria Health Foundation Board, and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Union League of Philadelphia.  He holds a B.A. La Salle University, an M.A. Villanova University and attended the U.S. Army War College National Security Seminar.
